Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, formerly known as East End Church of God in Christ was founded by Elder Robert Butler in 1989.

On February 18, 2017, after the passing of Elder Robert Butler,  Bishop Jewel Withers, Prelate of the Arkansas First Jurisdiction appointed Pastor Marcus J. Butler as the Senior Pastor Holy Trinity. As the 8th and youngest child of the late Elder Robert and Mother Mary Butler, Pastor Marcus knew he would have big shoes to fill. Following in the footsteps of his beloved father, he strives to build the community through the word of God.   

Outside of his call to preach the gospel, Pastor Marcus is an advocate for mental health and social justice in the community. As a graduate of The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, he is a believer in continued learning and education as a key to success. As a professional he currently works as a behavioral health specialist for the Arch Ford Education Cooperative, assistant basketball coach for the Mills Comets, and basketball AAU coach.
